Why did I choose the name ‘Dark Iris” for my website? The purple iris is my favorite flower, and so the name Dark Iris came about from the normal ‘what do I call my website’ dilemma. Purple iris would have been my first choice since it is my favorite color for the iris flower, but the sound of ‘purple iris dot com’ just didn’t feel right to me. I wanted something a little easier to remember and a name that would capture my duality.
